‘OPERATION:’ are a Naarm/Melbourne based 4 piece ensemble that explore the aesthetic between avante garde jazz and spontaneous composition. Consisting of Hendrix Hamalainen (trumpet), Hugh Collins (saxophones), Paddy Walter (Drums) and Liam Perry (Electric Bass), OPERATION: Dissolve traditional forms, subvert existing musical hierarchies and build new musical structures influenced by the present moment. Operation has been rehearsing and performing consistently for over 3 years.
